Hazing has no place in our sisterhood. Alpha Kappa Alpha Champions Don’t Haze. We Build, Protect, and Lead.
This week, chapters across Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® will demonstrate how we set the pace in preventing hazing. Here is how you can participate:
Lead by Example: Set the tone by treating one another with care and respect.
Honor Our Sisterhood: True sisterhood is built on trust and shared purpose — not hazing.
Speak Up: If something doesn’t look or feel right, say something.
Know the Rules: Every member plays a role in creating a safe, respectful experience.
Protect Each Other: Preventing hazing is how we look out for one another.
Chapters - Tag us in your National Hazing Prevention Week initiatives so we can share your work.
Members- Check the email on file with the sorority for your link to download the AKA Hazing Prevention Week frame.

For over a century, Alpha Kappa Alpha women have understood something powerful: change doesn’t happen by accident. It happens on purpose.
That’s the heart of Empower 08.
It starts with your voice. Say what needs to be said, whether it’s in a boardroom, a classroom, or your own living room. Your perspective is not optional. It’s necessary.
Then, take that voice to the people who make the decisions. Talk to your representatives. Call. Write. Show up. Let them know who you are, what your community needs, and that you’re paying attention.
We may be quiet on the creek. But when it’s time to make change…
…we are never quiet on the Hill.

The NAACP, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and The Links, Incorporated have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 55th Annual Legislative Conference.
Anchored in the NAACP’s C-HOPE framework, this partnership advances collaborative work across five critical areas:

Happy Founders Day to the Men of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated!
On September 19, 1963 - just four days after the Birmingham church bombing that shook the nation - twelve visionary men gathered at Morgan State College (now Morgan State University) and built something enduring. In a year defined by struggle, they chose to build brotherhood.
Iota Phi Theta officially joined the National Pan-Hellenic Council in 1997, completing the council and strengthening the circle of Black Greek-letter excellence.
Today, as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® celebrates alongside you, we honor 63 years of scholarship, service, and the unshakeable belief that Black men - organized, educated, and committed - are a force for community uplift.
