Sister Brianna has one question for you: DID YOU VOTE YET?

And we have 3:
Did you bring 8 people with you?
Did you educate 8 people about the importance of voting?
Did you empower 8 people to do the same?

Get up! We have work to do.

A look back at the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference, where International President Charletta Wilson Jacks delivered the charge: activate, mobilize, VOTE.

One month later, the charge still stands. The work didn’t stop at the conference - it continues in early voting, at the polls, in electoral accountability after the results come in, and in the leadership rising in our communities.

On the scene since 1908. On the scene for every election. On the scene and leading the way for whatever comes next. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®.

We come together once again to rejoice, to bring our burdens and to pray together in love and sisterhood. Welcome to another Sunday of Happy Happenings and Prayer Requests.

Share something that brought you joy this week, let us know how we can pray for you and reply encouraging someone else.

And yes, this offering is open to ALL!

First, we serve.

Before she ever stepped onto a college yard, Our International President and CEO, Charletta Wilson Jacks, was a little girl in an elementary school classroom - and yesterday, she went back. Returning to her own elementary school, she read with students and carried the heart of Target 1: Educational Support & Advocacy - advancing educational excellence and creating equitable pathways to learning, leadership, literacy, and lifelong achievement. Because promoting literacy and academic success from cradle to career starts exactly here: one classroom, one book, one child at a time.

And she’s not stopping at the schoolhouse door. Supreme on the Yard is taking that same message to HBCU campuses across the country - showing students that the sisterhood who taught them to read will cheer them all the way to graduation and beyond.

From the classroom to the yard - the lesson is the same. When our sisters lead, communities rise. 📚💗💚
