” I believe that the most important single thing, beyond discipline and creativity, is daring to dare.” ~Maya Angelou
Greetings!
With highest esteem inspired vision, and enthusiasm I greet you, the gracious Sorors of the Mid-Western Region. It is truly my honor to serve as the Mid-Western Regional Director, and I look forward to working with our more than 2,000 active Sorors.
Today, the Mid-Western Region is home to general members and 49 empowered, engaged chapters serving Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Wyoming “excluding St. Louis and Cape Girardeau”. Working together, we will execute impactful and transformational programs that benefit our campuses and communities.
The Sorors in the Mid-Western Region are invigorated, poised, and prepared to stay connected and engaged, to embrace our future, and work cohesively to achieve and maintain the mission of our great Sorority beloved Founders.
My service to this illustrious organization began as a second-year generation Soror, when I was initiated into Beta Sigma Omega Chapter in 1995. I am a life member and a Silver Soror. From the beginning, I began to prepare myself for Regional Director by assuming various leadership positions at the chapter, cluster, regional, and international levels. I firmly believe, “Service is the rent we pay for our time on earth”.
Our theme for the region is “Empowering Leaders: A Pinkprint for Success.” We endeavor to use our many talented Sorors to make Alpha Kappa Alpha “supreme in service to all mankind.” With this in mind, we will have renewed energy and creativity and fresh, exciting, innovative programming. We will come poised and to prepare Sorors for leadership roles. We will keep sorors abreast of recent developments and best chapter operating practices will be shared. Together, we will strengthen Mid-Western’s service to its communities.
