Happy Sunday, Sisters and Friends! 🙏🏽
Welcome to this week’s Happy Happenings & Prayer Requests.
This Sunday, we are lifting our sisters in prayer who are experiencing the impacts of Hurricane Isaias, and those recovering from the impact of the earthquake in Panama. Our hearts are with every sister, family, and community navigating this storm’s aftermath — and with our sisterhood in Panama as you rebuild and recover.
Sisters, please check your email for an important message from our International President & CEO, Charletta Wilson Jacks, with guidance and support for members in affected areas. Safety resources, regional updates, and next steps are included there.
In the meantime: stay connected, check on our senior sisters, those living alone, and our collegiate members, and follow the guidance of local emergency management officials. A simple phone call or text can make a meaningful difference today.
Whether it was a blessing, a milestone, or just making it through the week — share your Happy Happening in the comments. And if you are carrying something heavy, lay it here. This sisterhood is a shelter. Take a moment to encourage the sister who shared before you.

It’s October 2 - which means Awareness Month is just beginning. But here’s the truth, when it comes to our breast health: it can’t be the only month that counts. 💗💚
Breast cancer doesn’t check the calendar - and neither do we. Black women are 38% more likely to die from breast cancer than white women, and knowing your risk - and your normal - can change that.
Book the mammogram. Learn your family’s health history. Have the conversation you’ve been putting off. Then carry it into November, and every month after.
This isn’t just a month. It’s a moment to begin. And it starts today.
Which commitment are you making beyond October to protect your health? Drop it in the comments.
