Tonja L. Ringgold

Dr. Tonja L. Ringgold is a visionary higher education administrator, transformational leader, and dedicated servant-leader with more than four decades of distinguished membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. A Silver Star and Life Member, she was initiated into the Alpha Delta Chapter at Morgan State University in 1982 and has served with distinction at the international, regional, and local levels.

Her sorority leadership includes service as North Atlantic Regional Representative to the International Program Committee, North Atlantic Region Program Chairman, and immediate past President of the Centennial Epsilon Omega Chapter in Baltimore, Maryland, where she advanced program growth, leadership development, and community partnerships. Dr. Ringgold is also the Founding Dean of the Epsilon Omega Leadership Academy. Professionally, she brings more than 33 years of executive leadership in higher education, including roles as Assistant Secretary for Higher Education for the State of Maryland, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Student Affairs, Campus Dean, professor, and mentor. Her honors include the Nellie M. Quander Leadership Award, Chapter President of the Year, and the Wilma Holmes Tootle Educational Enhancement Award.
