Greetings from the Mid-Western Region!

It is both a privilege and an honor to serve as the Regional Director of this Mighty and Magnificent Region. The Mid-Western Region was established in 1924 under the direction of our 3rd International President L. Pearl Mitchell. Comprised of both graduate and undergraduate chapters, our region is home to 49 active chapters hailing from the states of Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Wyoming.

The Mid-Western Region has a rich legacy. We are home to the Ethel Hedgeman Lyle Highway in Eufaula, Oklahoma in honor of our Founder, as well as being the home to the second oldest graduate chapter of our sorority, Beta Omega Chapter, Kansas City, Missouri. We are proud to have chartered the first four - letter chapter, Alpha Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Our theme for the region is Together in Purpose and Spirit, We Will Make a Difference. It is our primary purpose to assure that we remain in the forefront of community service, program support and sisterhood. Through the Sorority’s 2018-2022 international program theme of Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service under the leadership of our International President Dr. Glenda Glover, we will continue the tradition of providing outstanding service to our communities and instilling the inspiration of excellence, to all that we touch.

I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our rich legacy, our programs and our mighty and magnificent sisterhood.

In Service,

Twyla Woods-Buford
