2025 South Central Cluster Retreat Overview

As we look back on our recent Cluster Retreat season, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you who contributed your time, energy, and leadership to make these gatherings meaningful and impactful. From our host chapters and Regional planning teams to every soror who traveled, participated, and served, your commitment to our sisterhood was evident at every stop.

Cluster Retreats remain a vital space for connection, leadership development, and service. Throughout this season, sorors came together not only to engage in purposeful programming but to uplift communities and strengthen the bonds that unite us across chapters and states. Your collective efforts reflect the power of showing up consistently and with intention.

	Service In Action Sorors supported community well-being through service to The Hope House/Sure Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building hope and strengthening individuals and families through access to essential resources. Through this effort, the Cluster contributed critical household and personal care items to support men, women, children, and families receiving free and confidential services.

⭐ Special Highlights from the Cluster

Arkansas Ivy Exchange	Community Service: Hope House
Sorors highlighted the Ivy Exchange as meaningful, engaging, and valuable for sisterhood and for Initiative IV: Enhance the Environment. It raised almost $4K to contribute to the Shawn E. Simmons EAF Endowment Fund. The Fellowship Gathering: Friday night light bites and social connection time surrounding the Ivy Exchange were also noted positively.	Donated more than 5,000 items. The Hope House is a resource center that is dedicated to making a positive difference in the everyday lives of people by addressing individual needs and connecting them to a network of support and services essential for actively learning, working, and living in the community.

	Service in Action With more than 453 graduate and undergraduate sorors in attendance, the Cluster proudly donated 105 bags and bears ($4,500) to the Bear Hug Service Project, an initiative of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce that provides teddy bears to children in Ouachita Parish experiencing trauma.

More than 1,400 graduate and undergraduate members donated a total of $6,000 to Compassion Waco and the Armed Services YMCA Killeen. These contributions support efforts to address homelessness through transitional housing and to strengthen military families through access to essential resources and community support.

	Service In Action Sorors focused their 2025 Cluster Retreat service efforts on the Empower Our Families initiative by supporting positive youth development and leadership through STEM NOLA. Through this initiative, the Cluster contributed to hands-on STEM programming that encourages K–12 students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while building critical skills for future success.
