Kaylen Long

Undergraduate Member-At-Large

Kaylen hails from the Illustrious Iota Eta Chapter in the Significant South Atlantic Region, where she was initiated in the Fall of 2016. Kaylen is the current Anti-Basileus of the Iota Eta Chapter and has also served as Chaplin, Treasurer, Sergeant-at-Arms, and a 2017 Leadership Fellow. She is a Senior at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, where she is pursuing a double major in Political Science and International Affairs with a minor in Spanish. Upon graduation, she will attend law school with high hopes of becoming an advocate for social and political justice.

In addition to her service to Alpha Kappa Alpha, Kaylen is also a Sunday School Teacher, Group Fitness Instructor, Minority Mentor, Mercer Club Volleyball co – captain, secretarial assistant at Stetson School of Business, Mercer University, and has served as a Student Government Association Senator at Large for the 2017 – 2018 academic year. She devotes her time to Mercer’s Organization of Black Students, African Student Association and the Pre – Law Society.

Kaylen’s vision for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is to perpetuate the virtues of Soror Ethel Hedgeman Lyle and recapture a vision fair. As an Undergraduate Member-at-Large, she will fortify the love and solidarity among undergraduate members, bolster sisterly relations, strengthen the bond between undergraduate and graduate members and further embrace our tenets of scholastics, standards, and service to all mankind that spurs us to victory’s height.
