University of Texas at Austin Announces Study
Call for survey respondents in this multiethnic project
The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing is recruiting participants for its "Multiethnic Internet Study on Menopausal Systems" (MOMS). Women of color, ages 40 – 60, are invited and encouraged to complete the online survey.
In order to find better menopausal symptom and treatment information, clinicians need to know more about the experience of women of all races. The MOMS study provides that opportunity.
The NIH / NINR-funded study has long-term goals that include eliminating ethnic biases and inequity in symptom management and promoting culturally competent care for menopausal women.
And, with advances in computer technologies, the Internet allows people in different geographical areas to communicate and exchange their experiences and opinions.
Download the flyer for details on requirements. More information can also be found online at the MOMS Web site.
