She has been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated the Delta Zeta Chapter since the spring of 2016. This past July, she was elected as the Second International Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Kelsi Horn, represented Miss Black Michigan, USA took home the crown at this years nationals. She received a Bachelor of Science in Advertising Management & Public Relations from Michigan State University in 2017 where she also became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha through the Delta Zeta chapter in the spring of 2016.

The Detroit Public Schools Community District is delighted to announce the recent hiring of Lohren Nzoma. The former assistant director of special education at Ann Arbor Public Schools, was originally recruited as director of gifted and talented for DPSCD in May and recently transitioned to senior executive director of Exceptional Student Education in July. Mrs. Nzoma was initiated in 2008 at Theta Lambda Omega and is an active member with Delta Psi Omega (Ann Arbor). The Great Lakes Region congratulates Mrs. Nzoma in her new position with the Detroit Public Schools Community District.
