Mary Conner

South Eastern Regional Director

Mary Conner was elected to serve as the 2014 - 2016 South Eastern Regional Director of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in March 2014 at the 81st South Eastern Regional Conference. She is the 24th Alpha Kappa Alpha woman to serve in this position.

Conner is an advocate for excellence in programs and has been a catalyst for success within Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated for more than three decades. Initiated into Kappa Lambda Omega Chapter 35 years ago, she continues to faithfully love and serve the Sorority.

She has served as South Eastern Regional Parliamentarian and the 75th South Eastern Regional Conference Chairman. She has also served as a member of the International Human Resources, International Membership and International Conference and Event Planning Committees.

While serving as chapter President, Ms. Conner implemented Tennessee’s first AKA Day at the Capitol. She is respected for her visionary leadership, professionalism and organization in event planning and training workshops.

A Tennessee State University alumna, Ms. Conner is employed as an office manager and courtroom deputy for the United States District Court.

As Regional Director, Ms. Conner plans to energize Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee with C4 power, enabling members to “connect, communicate, collaborate, and celebrate.”

A 25+ year member and Life member, Ms. Conner is the proud mother of two daughters, who are also Alpha Kappa Alpha members -- Tiffany and the late, Shewanna. She resides in Goodlettsville, Tennessee with her husband, Calvin.
