Charletta Wilson Jacks
Charletta Wilson Jacks, a heart that is loyal and true is a dedicated professional as the Planning Director for the City of Atlanta. She manages the City’s planning efforts in the area of transportation, historic preservation, land use, geographic information services and development review services. Viewed as the “go-to” person in City Hall for development of large scale multimillion dollar residential, commercial and industrial projects, she also serves as the “Secretary” to the City’s Zoning Review Board.
Initiated in 1976 into Gamma Upsilon Chapter and transferred to the Alpha Chapter, Charletta has served her current chapter (Lambda Epsilon Omega) as President, Treasurer, Secretary and Graduate Advisor. Recognized as “Soror of the Year” five times during her membership in the chapter, she was elected as the first “elected” President of the chapter’s affiliate foundation.
Her international service to the sorority includes four years on the following international committees: Nominating, Building and Properties, Program and Membership (Chairman). She is a graduate of Howard University (Bachelor of Arts) and Atlanta University (Master of Public Administration).
She is a member of St. Philip AME Church in Atlanta, Georgia and is married to Bernard Ricardo Jacks and they have one son, Ricardo Wilson Jacks.
