Carol R. Dixon

Far Western Regional Director

Carol R. Dixon, a 36-year member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., was elected to serve as the 2016 – 2018 Far Western Regional Director at the 86th Far Western Regional Conference in May 2016. She is the 25th Alpha Kappa Alpha woman to hold this position.

Mrs. Dixon is a member of Rho Delta Omega Chapter in Palo Alto, CA. A Life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha she has held numerous leadership positions at the local, regional and International levels including General Chairman of the 65th International Boule held in San Francisco and served as the Far Western Region Representative on the International Membership Committee.

Mrs. Dixon is a highly respected and revered Human Resources professional. She is currently Vice President of Global Human Resources for Sphere3D Corporation. She is also an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University teaching Human Resources Information Systems. A graduate of San Jose State University she has received an HR Executive Leadership Certification from the American Electronics Association.

Mrs. Dixon has won numerous awards for her dedication and commitment to community service and leadership involvement including the African American Community Service Agency Drum Major Award., Northern California HR Symposium HR Leadership Award, Mildred L. Robinson President of the Year Award, Ida L Jackson Leadership Award, and Sister That Rocks Award.

Outside of sorority activities, Mrs. Dixon is a member of the Links Incorporated, NAACP, and SHRM and is President of San Jose State University Black Alumni Network. She lives in San Jose, California with her husband Charles. S. Hull.
